The Centre for Regenerative Futures (CRF) at the Gustavson School of Business is a living laboratory where bold ideas take root and regeneration becomes real.
At CRF, we believe that “doing no harm” is not enough. The challenges facing our communities, our economies and our ecosystems demand more. We must restore, revitalize and reimagine – leaving the world better than we found it.
Located on the unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, our work is shaped and guided by people and place.
We are bringing together scholars, students, Indigenous knowledge keepers, and business practitioners to ask urgent questions and take meaningful action.
Our approach
Guided by Indigenous knowledges and grounded in respect, reciprocity and relationship, we draw on diverse perspectives to reframe how business engages with people, place and planet.
Through teaching, research and practice, we are not only studying regenerative approaches, we are co-creating them. By working together across sectors, disciplines and communities, we can change the very systems that are no longer serving us and build new ones that allow communities and ecosystems to thrive.

Mission: We are a hub for regenerative sustainability that inspires and enables organizations to transform economies, strengthen communities and revitalize ecosystems. CRF empowers the Gustavson School of Business and its stakeholders and rightsholders to engage in regenerative approaches by focusing on the four following priorities.
- Champion research that helps businesses become regenerative to restore communities and nature
- Transform business education to put regeneration at its core
- Connect researchers, policy makers and business leaders to exchange and co-create knowledge on regenerative practices
- Ideate transformative interventions to foster regenerative business
