Internationally recognized MBA for TELUS program lauded by QS’ Reimagine Education Awards

Earning its third international award of 2018, the innovative MBA for TELUS program received bronze in the Best University-Employer Partnership category from the QS Reimagine Education Awards. The customized MBA for TELUS program is the result of an ongoing collaboration between the Gustavson School of Business and TELUS.

The Reimagine Education Awards created the university-employer partnership category to acknowledge collaborations between universities and employers that demonstrate improvements in graduate employability, innovation and knowledge transfer.

The innovations MBA for TELUS graduates are already making offer inspiring and tangible results. Dan Pontefract, champion of the program inside of TELUS, said: “TELUS approximates it has garnered more than $350 million in both savings and net new revenue opportunities from various program assignments and major consulting projects that the team members completed. The return has far exceeded our expectations.”

Graduates themselves comment on the many exceptional opportunities provided by the program, ranging from the emphasis on personal development to invaluable relationships built with other TELUS executives from around the world. Many also cite the chance to apply classroom learning immediately and see the results on their own teams as incredibly rewarding.

The MBA for TELUS was named one of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business’ 2018 30 Innovations that Inspire in the spring, and the European Foundation for Management Development recognized it with an Excellence in Practice Silver Award for Talent Development in the summer. Its first cohort of 20 executives graduated in June, and TELUS has commissioned three additional cohorts.
