The Affiliate Identity Management System (AIMS) manages affiliate privileges and services at UVic. Affiliates are sponsored guests of UVic that require access to online resources or a UVic ID card to access library resources. Each affiliate must be sponsored by a UVic employee for the duration of their teaching, learning, research, or other work-based relationship with UVic. Examples of affiliates are UVic contractors, visiting scholars, visiting researchers, or visiting students.
Using an online form, affiliates can apply for a primary NetLink ID, granting them access to services such as UVic email address, wireless Internet, the UVic Library website, Moodle, FAST, and Banner.
