University Systems offers regularly scheduled classroom and online training for faculty, staff and students*, as well as other self-directed training opportunities.  See information below on how to register for classroom training sessions.

Classroom training

Cascade Content Management System

Classroom training sessions on Cascade Level 1 (Beginner) and Level 2 (Advanced) are offered once a month, and drop-in sessions are offered weekly.

Connect (SharePoint 2013)

Classroom training sessions on Connect Level 1 (Basic Training) and Level 2 (Customization) are offered weekly. Level 3 (Site Creation and Permissions) is offer every other week, and drop-in sessions are offered weekly.  Online training for Connect Level 2 and Level 3 are also available.

Phishing awareness training

Windows 8.1 Introduction

Across the University of Victoria, computers are gradually being ugraded from previous versions of Microsoft OS to Windows 8.1. University Systems was one of the leading departments in this transition.

The University of Victoria also provides faculty and staff with access to, which is an on-line inventory of instructional videos covering the latest software, creative and business skills.  There are over 128,000 individual tutorials to choose from.
