Caitlin Chong, who received her BA in sociology from UVIC, is currently a master’s student at UBC sociology. She is recruiting participants for her thesis project: “Digital & Political Contours of Chinese-Canadian Communities.”

The project is looking to document and share best practices of Chinese-Canadian organizers and activists who make use of social media and digital tools.

Caitlin is looking to talk with self-identifying Chinese-Canadian or diasporic Chinese folks who live/have lived in so-called Vancouver, age 18-30, who consider themselves “activists” or “organizers” and have used online tools for activism and organizing.

Attached here is the recruitment poster with more details. Caitlin’s email is chongcai@student.ubc.ca if you have any further questions.

*The principal investigator for this thesis project is Caitlin’s supervisor, Dr. Renisa Mawani (renisa@mail.ubc.ca)
