JAPAN INTERN – Program Assistant with CITYNET in Yokohama, Japan
Nicola is currently working towards her BA in Pacific and Asian Studies with a minor in European Studies. She is originally from Toronto and grew up traveling, studying, and working abroad. Nicola holds a strong interest on the social effects that urbanisation has on global populations. She will be writing her honours thesis on how Japanese society is dealing with the issues that have arisen as a result of urbanisation and the increasing dependence on urbanised spaces in Japan, in particular, the issue of alienation within urban environments. In the fall, Nicola will be working with CITYNET, in Yokohama, Japan, as a program assistant. She is excited and incredibly grateful for this internship opportunity with CAPI and CITYNET.
