Title: Sustainable construction materials and technologies
Abstact: Concrete is world's most used construction material due to the ease with which it can be molded. However, production and placement of this material is associated with release of greenhouse gas emissions. This presentation will present case studies of innovative/sustainable construction technologies that have been applied in British Columbia. Dr. Gupta will present examples of rammed earth construction, porous paving materials, and stay-in-place forming technology.
