Bursaries, scholarships and awards

Students do not have to repay bursaries, scholarships or awards. 

UVic gives out $3.9 million in bursaries each year, based on financial need and reasonable academic standing. 

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence.

Only one application per session is necessary to be considered for all bursaries that are administered by Student Awards and Financial Aid. A student who has completed the Online General Bursary Application will be considered for all applicable bursaries.
