DELF/DALF and TCF

We (normally) host examinations three to four times a year: in March and/or November (Tout Public B1-B2), in May (Junior, A1 to B2) and in June (Tout Public, A1 to C2). This schedule and the levels offered are subject to change.

These examinations cannot be held at a distance nor online.

Our next TCF-Canada session will be held from Tuesday, June 25th to Thursday, June 27th. The deadline to register is Friday, May 24th.

Please fill and sign the TCF-Canada Registration form if you are interested in participating. 

The written examinations will be held on the 25th in the afternoon (timing to be confirmed).

Individual oral examinations may be held on the 25th, 26th, or 27th late afternoon and evening. Please let us know if you are travelling to Victoria to take the TCF.

What are the DELF-DALF examinations?

The DELF and DALF are six separate diplomas issued by the French Ministry for National Education to certify the language skills of persons whose mother tongue is not French. More information on these diplomas are available on this site: Delf-Dalf (https://delf-dalf.ambafrance-ca.org/presentation) and Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

 DELF/DALF evaluates language skills in four areas:

• oral comprehension,
• oral expression,
• written comprehension,
• written expression.
