Happy Retirement, Dora Leigh!

Wow, after 42 years, our dear colleague Dora Leigh has had her last day with us on April 16th! Congratulations in this next chapter of your life!

You were a part of our school at a time when there was only 27 students, to now where we exceed well over 300 each year – thank you for leadership in many aspects of the school administration!

Hi everyone –

I’ve been quite overwhelmed this past week by your many kind messages and good wishes. Thank you, thank you.

It’s been a big decision to retire, and I expect it will take some time for the enormity of this life change to really sink in.  Occasionally someone will ask how I managed to work (almost) my entire career in one place, and well, that’s an easy response: at any given time the School has given me safe refuge, a place to grow, to learn, be challenged, to contribute in a meaningful way, lots of laughs, comfort and understanding in abundance, and many lasting friendships.   I am grateful for every experience, and for the privilege of working with you all, past and present, and those 1000’s of wonderful students…

I’m looking forward to the School’s first post-pandemic, in-person gathering – please count me in!

Fondly,
