Assistant Teaching Professor Dr. Zaheera Jinnah guest co-edited a special issue in the Journal of Studies in Social Justice

We are excited to share that a special issue in the Journal of Studies in Social Justice, has been guest co-edited by one of our very own Dr. Zaheera Jinnah along with Professors Rutherford and Stasiulis, from Carleton University, and it has been published online! The issue is titled MIGRATION, INTERSECTIONALITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE and explores the theory and practice of intersectionality and social justice in migration studies.

The Issue titled MIGRATION, INTERSECTIONALITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE stems from an international colloquium held at Carleton in 2016 and explores the theory and practice of intersectionality and social justice in migration studies. Bringing together research from Canada, South Africa and elsewhere, the issue raises critical question on how position and place inform our understanding of intersectionality and migrants own practices for social justice.
