Couple donates loom to the Department of Visual Arts

Van Eerden Loom

Ev and Audrey Van Eerden donated a 12-harness Counermarche loom to the Department of Visual Arts in hopes of sparking a love of weaving in students.

The loom, which has a 48" weaving width, will be added to the textile room for both students and faculty to use.

“The visual arts department is extremely grateful for the generous donation of this loom. Incorporating a piece of equipment like this into our facilities will open up so many doors to the world of contemporary art in conjunction with traditional textile practices. We are very excited to see what our students produce, " says Hollis Roberts, facility and production manager.
