Early childhood education

Description

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the Faculty of Education, University of Victoria, offers a Master's Program in Early Childhood Education. The program consists of 15.0 units of coursework.  This M.Ed. is designed for those professionals who are looking for an opportunity to extend their knowledge of young children, and curricula for young learners (ages 3 through 9). Examination of a wide range of topics, current issues, trends, and curricular innovations will be combined with opportunities to pursue areas of personal interest. The goal - a rewarding and stimulating experience that recognizes the realities of working professionals.

This may be the program for you, if you:

  • have experience working with young children in primary, kindergarten, preschool, daycare or other settings, or are teaching in a post-secondary institution, and have a relevant Bachelor's degree;
  • want to begin a part-time, efficiently-scheduled, Master's program
