Are you confident going into interviews?  Learn interview strategies, practice responding to questions and get on-the-spot feedback.

Are you on LinkedIn? Are you using it effectively?  Leverage this social media platform to access career opportunities.

Résumé Lab

  • When: Tuesdays (1:30 - 3:20 p.m.)
  • Where: McPherson Library, room 129 

The key to a successful job search is making your application stand out. Learn how to create a résumé that best reflects your qualifications and skills. 

Please bring a printed copy of your résumé and a copy of a job posting you are interested in. This will be a working session with hands on opportunities to improve your documents. The tutorial will be followed by one-on-one help from a career educator.

ACE Your Interviews

  • When: First and third Thursay of the month (1:30 - 3:20 p.m.)
  • Where: McPherson Library, room 129 

The key to a successful interview is being able to anticipate questions that will be asked, articulate strong clear answers and to deal with your nerves.

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn about the most common types of interview questions, role-play interview scenarios and get feedback to help you perform with confidence.

Please bring a printed copy of a job posting you are interested in. This will be a working session with hands on opportunities to practice your answers based on a target job.

LinkedIn Essentials

  • When: Fourth Friday of the month (1:30–2:50 p.m.)
  • Where: McPherson Library, room 129 

Should you be on LinkedIn? LinkedIn is a social media platform that is increasingly used by recruiters and employers to assess and recruit candidates. Facebook for professionals!

In this simple to follow computer lab workshop, you'll start to build a LinkedIn profile from the basics. Learn methods to research and connect and use it to help you find a future job.

This will be a working session with hands on opportunities to build your profile from scratch.
