President's Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding undergraduate students in all faculties. Recipients must be registered in a total of 12 or more units of study in two academic terms in the 12 month period (May to April) immediately preceding the adjudication of awards. Students who complete one academic term of 6 or more units and a co-op, work experience, practicum or international exchange term in the previous 12 months period (May to April) will also be considered for this scholarship.

Eligibility

In-Course scholarships, awards, medals and prizes are offered to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 12.0 units for credit, of which 10.5 units are graded using the standard nine point scale, in two of the three terms of study in the previous academic year (May to April). In-course scholarships, awards and prizes are awarded in the subsequent winter session (September to April).

How to apply

GPA-based scholarships are awarded solely on academic excellence. No application is required. Student Awards and Financial Aid will determine the appropriate recipients. The recipients will receive a notification by email in August.

How to accept

To accept your scholarship offer:

  1. Have a NetLink ID
  2. Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
  3. Select "Student Services" on the top menu
  4. Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
  5. Select "View My Student Aid"
  6. Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
  7. Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
