Background
Mohammadreza Nematollahi is a post-doctoral fellow at Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria. He began working with Dr. Adel Guitouni in April 2021. His primary research focuses on the smart management of sustainable supply chains with applications in agri-food and health sectors. Mohammadreza is particularly interested in developing theoretical and practical solutions to improve supply chain sustainability through aligning the plans and objectives of individual enterprises, and identifying challenges and opportunities to advance sustainable management of supply chains in the digital economy.
Mohammadreza earned his doctorate at the Iran University of Science & Technology (Iran) in Industrial Engineering. His thesis entitled “Coordination Contracts in Sustainable Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Systems” focused on developing mathematical and game-theoretic models and contracts for multi-objective coordination of inventory and distribution decisions in decentralized pharmaceutical supply chains, with the aim of improving patients’ access to medicines.
Prior to joining the Gustavson School of Business, Mohammadreza held two postdoc positions at the Dhillon School of Business, University of Lethbridge, and the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT).
