Computer Lab
Computers:
- Computer workstations are located in the Law Library lobby and the Law Computer Lab and are accessible during regular hours.
- Wireless access is available in the Law Library, the student lounge and in all classrooms in the Fraser building.
- Do not store files on computer lab hard drives as storage is erased nightly. Instead, use a USB or email files to yourself as attachments.
- The Circulation Desk lends out headphones for use in the library.
- There is a media viewing room available and one of our group study rooms has a large-screen monitor that allows multiple laptop connections to facilitate group work. Please ask at the circulation desk for details.
Printing and Scanning
- Computers in the Law Library submit print jobs to a shared network of laser printers in the Law Library and on the second floor in Room 258.
- Printing costs 12 cents per page or 40 cents per page for colour and requires a UVic Netlink ID. Double-sided printing is available.
- Value can be added to your printing account during Law Library hours. You will need to provide staff with your Netlink ID and cash or a cheque.
- A scanner is available in the library free of charge.
Computer Tutors:
- Computer tutors will be available to assist students with lab equipment and software problems. They will be located at the Law Library reference desk at various times through the term.
