We invite you to apply for an innovative, accessible Master of Public Health program starting in September 2011. You can complete this 21.0 unit program in 2 years as a full-time student or 3 years as a part-time student.
We believe in:
- Collaborative action to promote the health of populations
- Community-based approaches with a social justice ethic to reduce preventable disease and premature death
- Creating partnerships with people to influence change and improve the quality of life for all people
Studies include public health core courses and a choice of one of 3 areas of focus:
- Indigenous Peoples’ Health
- Public Health Nursing
- Social Policy
A 450 hour practicum provides an opportunity for you to practice and demonstrate public health knowledge and skills within professional practice setting. A culminating project completes your program.
Flexible learning options
You'll complete the courses online in your own community and attend 3 on-campus experiences at the University of Victoria.
