Child and Youth Care ( Masters )

The School of Child & Youth Care's MA program is an innovative graduate program designed to prepare child and youth care practitioners for leadership roles in advanced clinical practice, supervision, staff training and other senior support positions in services for children, youth and their families.

CYC graduate students are a diverse and dynamic group who enjoy opportunities to work on research projects with internationally recognized academics.

The program has an applied focus, preparing professional practitioners in the child and youth care field for leadership in:

  • advanced theory and practice
  • training and supervision skills
  • program planning and community development
  • related service support roles
  • applied research skills

Note: The allotted time for program completion is 2 years, if taken full-time, with a maximum allotment of 5 years.
