General bursary program & message from Dean Tricia Marck

Thank you for all you give – whenever you can

As everyone came together to adapt and respond to the advent of COVID-19 a few months ago, so many of you contributed to an Emergency Support Bursary fund to help UVic students stay in their programs and move ahead with their lives. We can never thank you enough. As a result of your generousity, UVic’s COVID-19 Support Bursary has provided over $1,005,492 in student aid.

Although federal and provincial students supports are also in place, we still need your giving spirit where and when you are able. As of June 1, students who would have previously applied for the COVID-19 support bursary, may apply for the general bursary program to keep moving ahead with their learning and their lives.

Thank you for everything you give to our students. Together, our faith in them matters, and every support we offer them makes a difference. As they start, continue or complete their education in Nursing, Public Health and Social Policy, Health Information Science, Social Work, Child & Youth Care, Public Administration and Indigenous Governance over the coming year, our students will continue to need whatever each of us can give. And as our graduates join so many of the professions we need, their contributions to our world will give back to all of us, and strengthen our shared future, many times over.
