Join us for HSD Research Day

HSD Research Day Speaker Collage

Join us on April 21 to celebrate the breadth of research and teaching scholarship happening across the Faculty of Human and Social Development. The second annual HSD Research Day: Sharing our Research and Teaching Scholarship is open for registration to HSD faculty, sessionals and staff. With 15 faculty speakers lined up from across Nursing, Social Work, Indigenous Governance, Health Information Science, Public Administration, Child and Youth Care, and Public Health and Social Policy, there will be plenty of opportunities to hear about research projects that promise to contribute to building just, equitable, decolonial, and sustainable futures. You'll also have the chance to meet the soon-to-be-announced winners of the HSD Research Excellence Awards. At the day's end, take time to socialize at our mix and mingle event. A full itinerary will be shared closer to the date.

Speakers include:

  • Dawn Smith, Assistant Professor, Indigenous Governance, Developing a Nuu-chah-nulth perspective on the environment and sustainability
