Bob Wright (1930-2013) was a self proclaimed “gumboot fisherman” and founder of the Oak Bay Marine Group. He was also a Victoria city alderman, adviser to the Fisheries Minister on the Pacific Area Regional Council and served a 12-year term as a commissioner for Canada on the Pacific Salmon Treaty.

BWC was designed by Chernoff Thompson Architects, with Russ Chernoff acting as lead architect.
