US high school students
Admission
Minimum requirements
To be considered for admission to UVic, a high school student from the US must:
- graduate from a recognized high school with 14 or more college preparatory courses
- meet your desired program's admission requirements for English, math, science, social studies, language and/or fine arts
- demonstrate English language proficiency.
Standardized tests
Standardized tests (SAT, ACT) are not required, but will be considered if submitted.
Personal submissions
Reference letters, essays and other submissions are not required by UVic. However, individual programs may request additional information from applicants. Refer to your program's admission requirements.
School profiles
After you apply, we may ask you to submit a school profile. You should be able to get this document from your high school counsellor.
Early conditional admission
If you have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of at least 3.50 from grades 9 to 11, submit your application by December 1 to be considered for early conditional admission.
After you submit your application, you'll be asked to provide a transcript of your cumulative results from grades 9 to 11 and a list of your current and planned grade 12 courses.
