Learning Management Systems for faculty and staff: Moodle

Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) that educators can use to create a virtual classroom. Moodle provides interested instructors with the opportunity to explore, create, and teach in a web-based LMS, with UVic providing dedicated support.

Sessional instructors may also use this service.

How do I request or access this service?

Instructors should visit Learning Systems to request this service. Instructors currently using Moodle can visit http://moodle.uvic.ca and login with their NetLink ID. Alternatively, instructors should have a Moodle link in their My page portal.

What is the cost for this service?

This service is provided free of charge.

When is this service available?

Moodle is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Outages are posted at http://moodlehelp.uvic.ca. Alternatively, you can be informed of service interruptions by subscribing to Informed.
