ENSH 366 students win recognition for their final essays and projects

Congratuations to the three students from Dr. Alison Chapman's Spring 2025 class of ENSH 366: Victorian Period Poetry who have been recognized for their final research essay/project assignment: 

Mel Turunen’s research project on dog poetics included a publication on the Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry site of a “Dog Poetry” online open access anthology, which was then developed as the basis of their David Harris Flaherty Undergraduate Student Library Scholarship as well as their JCURA project.

Becky Turner’s research essay on the poetics of Victorian women’s gift giving won the Pat Koster Essay Scholarship in Women's Writing. 

Alexander McLauchlan’s research essay on Dinah Criak’s publications in Chambers’s Edinburgh Journal, also based on Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry, won the Pat Koster Essay Scholarship in Women's Writing.
