Public Health ( Diploma )

We invite you to apply for an innovative, accessible Graduate Diploma in Public Health starting in September 2011. You’ll gain an introductory understanding of core public health knowledge as well as an introduction to your chosen area of focus.

The Graduate Diploma is 12.0 units of coursework compared to the Master of Public Health (MPH), which consists of 21.0 units of coursework.

Studies include public health core courses and a choice of one of four areas of focus:

  • Indigenous peoples’ health
  • public health informatics
  • public health nursing
  • social policy

Public health education is a well-established field of study aimed at promoting quality of life, reducing premature death, and minimizing the impact of disease, disability and injury through improving programs such as pandemic immunizations, falls prevention research, maternal and child health care, and housing and homelessness, addictions and mental health services.

Note:

  • This is a post-graduate program.
  • The delivery method for this program is distance with three required on-campus components.
