ITCH 2017 Student Poster Competition

This years student poster competition had many outstanding entries. The bright and motivated student authors presented posters that covered many different areas of health information innovation and research. Congratulations to all of the students who participated.

Janessa Griffith is a PhD candidate from the University of Toronto and a MSc. graduate from the School of Health Information Science, at UVic. Her poster is titled, "Recognizing sex and gender in the design of a mobile health application for multiple sclerosis (MS) management". Congratulations to Janessa for being selected as the 1st place winner in the ITCH 2017 Poster Competition.

Gurprit Randhawa is a PhD candidate in the School of Health Information Science at UVic. She has also received both of her MSc. and BSc. from the School Health Information Science. Her poster is titled, "Meaningful End-User Support for Meaningful EMR Use: A Scoping Review". Congratulations to Gurprit for being selected as the 2nd place winner in the ITCH 2017 student poster competition.

Line Dausel Vinther and Ditte Meulengracht Hjelmager are Techno-Anthropology students from Aalborg University in Denmark. Their poster is titled, "Involving Patients to Develop IT Support for Self-management of Low Back Pain" and was selected as the 3rd place winner in the ITCH 2017 student poster competition.

Alyssa Foote is a combined BSc student studying health information science and computer science at the University of Victoria. Her poster is titled, "There's an App For That: Intersecting mHealth and Depression Research". Congratulations to Alyssa for participating in the ITCH 2017 student poster competition.

Liz Loewen is the Director for Coordination of Care with Manitoba eHealth. Liz has been a Registered Nurse for over twenty years. She is a PhD candidate in the School of Health Information Science, at UVic. Her poster is titled, "Measuring Business Intelligence in Healthcare: Conceptual Model".
