Class of 1962 50th Reunion
The Class of ’62 committee invites all members back to UVic to celebrate their reunion. Members of the class are looking forward to reuniting at the Homecoming Reunion Dinner.

Meet the reunion committee at Smugglers’ Cove for a Pub Night on Friday, Sept. 28 night and at the Reunion Dinner on the Saturday night. We'll also have a Class of ’87 Reunion tent on campus during Homecoming on Sept. 29. Hope to see you there.

Class of 2002 10th Reunion
Friends and family welcome to join our Class of 2002 Reunion. Join the reunion committee for a fun night of networking at the Sticky Wicket on Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Get your anniversary UVic mug, cake and trivia fix.

We are also organizing a 2002 Yearbook. We'll be sending it to the UVic Archives, viewable in the reference section of the McPherson Library. If you would like to submit photos from your university years, please send them to us on Facebook or send photos by e-mail to our Picasa page. Also bring your family to the UVic 50th Anniversary Festival Barbeque on Saturday, Sept. 29 starting at 11:30. Swing by the Class of 2002 Tent to make your mark in the yearbook.

Chemistry’s 50th Anniversary Reunion

  • Friday, Sept. 28 Noon: Registration opens (Elliott Building)
  • 2:30 – 5:30 pm: Alumni speakers (Elliott)
  • 7:30 – 9:30 pm: Welcome Reception and Chemistry Show for Alumni and Friends, (Elliott)

 Saturday, Sept. 29

  • 11 am – 4 pm: Open House, including public lectures and “That Chemistry Show”. All open to the public! (Elliott and Wright buildings)
  • Noon – 2 pm: Drop-in Alumni and Friends Lunch (Elliott 401)
  • 7 – 10 pm: Alumni Reunion Dinner*

Sunday, Sept. 30

  • 11 am (approx.): Tee time. Golf at Cordova Bay Golf Course.

Reflecting on 50 years of Indigenous Education
Hosted by the Office of Indigenous Affairs and the Faculty of Education, this event will include tours, lunch, and a panel discussion on Indigenous education with students and alumni. Topics will include Indigenous ways of knowing, ways of being, and ways of growing. School of Child & Youth Care Anniversary

Department of Anthropology Anniversary
The Department of Anthropology looks forward to welcoming Anthropology alumni to a special reunion marking 40 years since its establishment as a standalone department.

Faculty of Law Run
Join a team of law alumni, law students, faculty and staff to walk/run 1k or 5k in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 9 a.m. at UVic. Economics Alumni Network
Economists unite! Take a moment out of UVic's 50th Anniversary Festival on Saturday September 29 to reconnect with your peers and faculty and make new connections over coffee and cake.

Faculty of Engineering Alumni Chapter
The nostalgia for algorithms, linear circuits and thermodynamics never goes away – well, maybe at least not the memories of loads of pizza, late-night coffee and valuable co-op work terms! Join the Faculty of Engineering Alumni Chapter during Homecoming 2012 to reconnect with colleagues and explore what’s new in the faculty.

On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Faculty of Engineering will host a full day of TED-type talks during Homecoming that will showcase how engineering and computer science are central to our society and an incubator for revolutionary ideas. Also, Engineering & Computer Science alumni and their families are invited to attend a free pancake breakfast from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Engineering Lab Wing Lobby as a kick-off to the Homecoming events. Science Venture instructors and student teams will be on hand with fun, child-friendly, educational activities. English Department
English alumni and literature enthusiasts are warmly invited to celebrate the culture of writing and reading that makes the UVic English Department such a rich place to teach and study. Raise a glass at the launch of our new video, Fifty Years of English at UVic, as well as our website feature, Fifty Special Books, highlighting literature that has changed the lives and minds of English alumni, friends, faculty, and students. Vikes Reunions
Vikes Athletics would like to invite all of our past athletes home to enjoy a weekend full of fun! We have regular season games for Soccer, Field Hockey and Rugby, as well as alumni games for both Basketball and Field Hockey. Our rowing teams will be hosting an alumni reunion and a dedication of Vikes Bay at Elk Lake, and Men’s Rugby will have their annual Boot Cup game against UBC. Women’s Field Hockey is hosting a social event after their game, and Men’s Field Hockey will be having their first ever alumni event.
