Nature's Path family encourage research in sustainable food systems

A new award from the Stephens family will support undergraduate students learning about organic and sustainable food systems.

The family founded and still operate successful breakfast and snack food company Nature's Path, a company which is committed to organic food and farming and works by the philosophy that you should always leave the earth better than you found it.

The new Stephens Award in Organic and Sustainable Food Systems will support one or more undergraduate students in the Faculty of Social Sciences to conduct field research in collaboration with UBC’s Faculty of Land and Food Systems, or in other similar settings.

Nature's Path website states that the company wants to "advance the cause of people and the planet, along the path to sustainability." Through this award they are helping train students to help in this important work.
