Commuting to UVic
Campus maps
Maps and buildings is your one-stop solution for finding maps of the entire campus. There are maps for parking lots, housing areas, libraries, accessibility points, theatres and auditoriums, classrooms, and computing facilities. It also features a directory for finding directions to specific buildings by name or by building code.
Sustainable transportation
The university has a comprehensive parking and transportation demand management (TDM) program and encourages the use of public transit, cycling and walking and less reliance on single occupant vehicles. We envision a campus that has sustainable travel choices for every campus community member and acts as a hub in a regional transportation network. For more information visit the Office of Campus Planning and Sustainability.
Cycling
UVic is working to make campus two-wheel territory. Safe cycling and bicycle commuting are actively encouraged and long term plans are in place to make UVic a fully bicycle-friendly campus.
BC Transit
The University of Victoria serves as a main terminal for ten major BC Transit bus routes.
- For a complete list of bus routes and their stops, visit Reaching UVic By Bus.
- The campus terminal is located in front of the UVic Bookstore.
- The University also offers a subsidized employee bus pass program for continuing employees.
UVic car share
The employee car share program is for full-time, continuing employees who mainly use transit, cycle or walk to commute to and from campus but occasionally need access to a vehicle for either personal or business use.
Parking on campus
