Government Mandate Letter

Each year, the University of Victoria Board of Governors receives a Mandate Letter from the Minister of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. This letter describes the accountabilities, roles and responsibilities of both parties.

The letter creates an opportunity for dialogue and supports an open, co-operative working relationship between the university and the provincial government.
