Applied Ethics
Study ethical problems from different perspectives. Start with two core courses in philosophy, then choose courses from a variety of departments and focus on what interests you most. Examine any subject―from engineering to gender to Indigenous studies―through an ethical lens. Develop the resources you need to face ethical problems in your own life and workplace.

Admission
This program can be added to your primary degree as a minor, enabling you to broaden your studies.
Declare your minor program after one or more years of full-time study at UVic.
Your academic advisor can help you plan your courses to ensure you meet the requirements of both your major and minor programs.
English language proficiency
You must demonstrate English language proficiency to attend UVic. Your transcripts are enough to prove proficiency if you've studied full-time in an academic program at the high school or post-secondary level within Canada for at least four years, and all of your instruction was in English.
