About Jessica

After a trip to Mexico in high school, I was hit with the travel once I graduated from university, I hit the skies! I lived and taught in South Korea, backpacked Western Europe and Australia, volunteered in Uganda, worked in Afghanistan and criss-crossed North America. The travel bug is still there, but right now I'm enjoying being settled in this beautiful city that exudes culture and energy. I still get my fill of adventure, though; I recently completed my second skydive!

I'm excited to be a part of this community, supporting students from South and East Asia as you take the next steps in your own travels!

My advice to future university students

Money isn't everything. I made a lot of limiting decisions when I was in university, because I thought I couldn't afford it. The experience of participating in co-op, studying abroad or living in residence is invaluable! Debt happens and can be managed responsibly. The opportunities presented to you at university are unique and may not be available or practical later in life.
