New How to Guides and Drop-in sessions for the OAC!

The Online Academic Community (OAC) now has new online How to Guides, and in person drop-in sessions! If you haven't heard about the OAC, you can learn more on our website. The OAC is UVic's WordPress instance, providing faculty, staff, researchers, and students with an environment that promotes online collaboration. Community members can create personal blogs, course sites, research collaboration sites, or spaces for academic and social interest groups.

Technology Integrated Learning (TIL) has recently published new online documentation to support OAC users - and there is more to come in the near future! Check out the first few Support sections, where you will find step-by-step instructions to help you build and maintain your OAC site. Keep your eye on this area as we post new support sections to help you! Starting in March, TIL will also be offering more drop-in sessions for you to stop by and ask your OAC questions. Come and chat with us about your OAC site during any of the following times:

  • Tuesdays 11am-12pm (OAC and CourseSpaces support)
  • Thursdays 2pm-3pm (OAC and CourseSpaces support)
  • Fridays 2pm-3pm (OAC support)
