Create a recurring meeting: Outlook 2010 and 2013

A recurring meeting repeats on a regular basis (for example, every Tuesday). Recurring meetings can be created from scratch (by selecting New Meeting) or by modifying something that already exists in your calendar. The following example shows how to modify a pre-existing meeting so that it becomes a recurring event. NOTE: You should not create recurring meetings for events that are frequently modified (e.g. attendees added/deleted, time/day change, some of the series cancelled).  Additionally, you should limit the span of your recurring meeting to no more than one year.  Modifying recurring meetings repeatedly can cause the meeting to disappear from attendees' calendars.

  1. Open the meeting that you would like to edit by double clicking on the meeting in your calendar. Then click on the Recurrence icon.

  2. Change the Start and End times as needed and customize your Recurrence pattern. When you are finished, click OK.

  3. Update all the attendees of these meetings by clicking Send Update.
