VPN Service: Cisco AnyConnect Client update

The Cisco AnyConnect Client that is used by Windows and Mac workstations to access the UVic Virtual Private Network (VPN) service will be updated on Feb. 27, 2018. After the update is complete, the first time you connect your desktop or laptop to the VPN service your VPN client will be automatically updated to Cisco AnyConnect 4.

iOS and Android devices should use the Cisco AnyConnect app that is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

The UVic VPN service provides a secure communication back to the campus network. VPN servers employ encryption and other security measures to ensure that any data sent on the Internet will not be intercepted.
