Planned outage of most computing services - 4:00am October 31

University Systems will be performing network improvements to the Enterprise Data Centre on October 31 commencing at 4:00am.  We anticipate that this will result in a 1-hour outage of most computing services including file shares hosted on netdrive.uvic.ca or \\uvic\storage, Moodle, student email (webmail.uvic.ca), FAST, Banner, My page, and a number of other UVic websites.  This change will improve the redundancy of systems that provide network connectivity to services hosted in the data centre.

Microsoft Exchange email and calendaring, SharePoint, and www.uvic.ca should remain available during this maintenance.
