Planned outage of most computing services - 4:00am October 10

On October 4th and 7th, most computing services provided by University Systems experienced an outage due to a problem with a key piece of networking equipment.  To resolve these issues, this piece of networking equipment will be replaced on Thursday, October 10th at 4:00am.  We anticipate that this will result in a 2-hour outage of most computing services including file shares hosted on netdrive.uvic.ca or \\uvic\storage, Moodle, student email (webmail.uvic.ca), FAST, Banner, My page, and a number of other UVic websites. 

Microsoft Exchange email and calendaring, SharePoint, and www.uvic.ca should remain available during this maintenance.
