Expanded Computer Help Desk services, locations, and hours

The Computer Help Desk (CHD) provides a number of services, articulated in our Service Catalogue, from four physical locations located in Clearihue A004 (Main Help Desk), Clearihue C143 (Technology Solutions Centre), Mearns Centre (main floor), and the Campus Services Building (Bookstore).

The Student Computing Facilities consist of computing classrooms and drop-in spaces located in three buildings (Clearihue, Business & Economics, Human & Social Development).  Facilities staff maintain the computing classrooms, workstations, and provide assistance to instructors and students using the facilities.

We are pleased to announce that the Computer Help Desk has been expanded to include all Student Computing Facilities locations.  We have also expanded our hours of operation starting in September to better assist you during evenings and weekends.

You can now contact the Computer Help Desk via telephone and email from 8 AM to 11 PM on weekdays, 10 AM to 10 PM on weekends, and 10 AM to 6 PM on statutory holidays at:

Computer Help Desk staff in all of the following locations are able to assist with a large variety of technology-related issues including wireless Internet configuration, NetLink ID issues, UVic email, CourseSpaces, computer hardware repair, advice on obtaining standard computing equipment, software assistance, computer lab bookings, and are also the first point of contact for all other services offered by University Systems:
