Why are Banner passwords not enough? The University of Victoria is committed to creating a technical environment that is secure and as such, this secondary authentication enhances Banner security. Banner login can now be secured with multi-factor authentication. (Sometimes referred to as 2FA or MFA). Users with access to update key financial and personal information, they will now be required to use a multi-factor authentication to access Banner data.

How do I request or access this service?

This service is available to adminstrative units at UVic that manage Financial or Personal data in Banner. Contact your desktop support team member or the Computer Help Desk for more information.

There is a per user fee for this service. Contact the Computer Help Desk for details.

When is this service available?

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You can be informed of service interruptions by subscribing to Informed.
