Standard hardware for faculty and staff
Standard hardware for faculty and staff is provided by the Technology Solutions Centre (TSC). The purpose of the TSC is to provide institutional sales assistance to UVic employees. Faculty and staff interested in purchasing standard university technologies (i.e. computers, software, telephones, and audiovisual equipment) are encouraged to contact the Technology Solutions Centre. The trained staff there can assess requirements, recommend solutions, acquire computer equipment, provide demonstrations, and answer questions regarding desktop and laptop computer configurations.

Consulting services are provided free of charge. Costs for technologies vary depending on configuration and the type of technology.
When is this service available?
Faculty and staff may visit the Technology Solutions Centre to view computer configurations by appointment or during drop-in hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Departments looking to purchase audiovisual equipment are encouraged to email email@example.com to arrange a consultation with an audiovisual expert.
