COVID-19: In response to the COVID-19 situation, we have modified some UVic Computer Help Desk services to ensure the health and safety of our staff, students, and university community, including computing facilities, remote computer lab service, PaperCut Mobility printing, and remote Computer Help Desk support.

We offer a wide variety of software for instruction, research, analysis, and content creation. Use the Search field below to locate an application by name or descriptive keywords.

Availability

Some specialized software is only available in some areas, such as scanning and video editing software that is only on our multimedia stations, math and stats software limited to the stations in Windows classrooms, and the language learning tools in the CALL Facility. Guide to computer images

Windows Regular: All Windows computers in computer classrooms and drop-in areas, except for the special cases below.

Windows Scanning: Windows multimedia stations in drop-in areas with equipped with flatbed scanners and special design and production software.

Windows CALL: Windows side of dual-boot computers in the CALL Facility (Clearihue A025).

Windows LIB034J: Windows stations in our computer training room in the library.

macOS Regular: All macOS computers in computer classrooms and drop-in areas, except for the special cases below.
