Parking & transportation

UVic is easily accessible by driving, public transit or bike. We have 16 parking lots on campus with more than 4000 parking stalls. For cyclists, we have our Campus Bike Centre, which offers a brightly-lit and video-recorded space to leave your bike.

Parking rates & permits

If you park on the Gordon Head campus, you need a parking permit Monday to Saturday, 24 hours a day.

All parking permits at UVic are virtual. Your licence plate acts as your permit and you don’t need to display a physical permit.

Taking transit to UVic

UVic provides subsidized bus passes to all students. Our bus loop is one of the most active transit hubs in Greater Victoria, making it easy to travel to and from campus by bus.

Please visit the BC Transit website for more information.

Sustainable transportation

We’re committed to making transportation to UVic as sustainable as possible. From bike shares and carpooling to public transit, there are many transport options beyond single-occupancy vehicles.
