Mindfulness and Self-Care: STUA ProD Reprise

If you missed it or just want to see it again, we are bringing back the most popular sessions from our summer STUA ProD Day this month. Mindfulness and Self-Care is presented by Chaplains Ruth Dantzer and Soshin McMurchy from Multifaith Services. 

Mindfulness has been defined as “Paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally” (Kabat-Zinn). Mindfulness, the practice of being fully present in the moment, can help you make the most of your self-care practices. In this session you will learn about the fundamentals of mindfulness in relation to self-care. We will explore ways of integrating specific practices into your life, and we will practice a simple mindfulness meditation together.
