Free flu shots

Getting sick sucks! Get the flu shot. It’s one of the best ways you can protect yourself and those around you from the flu.

UVic students can make an appointment to get a free influenza vaccination (i.e. flu shot) at the Student Wellness Centre this fall.

Book an appointment

Shots are available to all current students, including out-of-province and international students.

Flu shots are by appointment only.

Access to on-campus flu vaccinations is subject to eligibility and vaccine supply.

Clinic for on-campus housing

If you’re living in on-campus housing, please join us for a free flu shot clinic just for you. You’ll find us at the Cove on Nov. 23, 5-7pm.

Vaccinations for staff, faculty & community

We encourage staff and faculty to seek flu vaccinations in the community. If you’re registered with the provincial government's Get Vaccinated system, you will automatically receive an invite to book a flu shot online. If you have not yet registered, you can visit the Get Vaccinated page to register.

Why get the jab?

Avoid getting sick: The best way to avoid getting sick with the flu is to get a flu shot. It’s safe and it works.

Don’t play catch up: Flu season tends to overlap with crunch times in the academic calendar. No one wants to play catch up at such a busy time! The flu shot will help to keep you healthy so you won’t have to miss class.

Do your part: COVID-19 hasn’t gone away. You can help to limit the spread of germs and prevent further strain on the health care system by getting your flu shot.
