Meet Elyse C.

Elyse C

Practicum counsellor

My name is Elyse, my pronouns are she/her, and I am in training to become a clinical counsellor. I am of British, Scottish, and Irish ancestry. After being raised as an uninvited visitor on the land of the K’ómoks people, I have lived, worked, and created a family on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ people for many years.

Counselling approach

As a counsellor, I work to help you connect with or rediscover your truth and your self. Through a safe counselling relationship, built on trust, connection, and respect, you can reflect on your past and identify goals and hopes for the future. My counselling approach focuses on attachment, connection, and mindfulness, with attention to the information our bodies give us about our emotions, our histories, and our healing.
