Funding resources

The Faculty of Social Sciences is committed to world-class research, supported by research funding from a variety of sources that totals close to $10 million annually.

Our students, faculty members, and postdoctoral fellows garner funding from a variety of external research funding agencies, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research.

Private foundations and donors also support our researchers, and we regularly partner with other universities, institutions, non-governmental organizations, governments, and industry sponsors to carry out research initiatives of mutual interest.
