April Nowell, anthropology, Discover magazine

(August 11, 2017) - Discover magazine interviewed April Nowell on recent archaeological findings—announced last year—and use of paleoproteomics, an emerging method of studying ancient history through proteins. Nowell and her colleagues, including Dan Stueber and Christopher Ames who are both affiliated with UVic, were able to identify protein residue of animals on Stone Age tools discovered in Jordan.
