#biketoria course gives students a chance to work on real-life projects

(January 8, 2016) - A City of Victoria cycling program has wheeled its way into the halls of academia as the subject of a new UVic course which began yesterday. The fourth-year course will provide an opportunity for undergrad students to look into the city’s #biketoria initiative. Today's article in the Times Colonist also mentions the city is looking for a more permanent location for such civic courses. The Mayor is quoted, as is Trisalyn Nelson, the creator of BikeMaps.org. The story ran on page A3 with a photo, under the newsprint headline "A lesson in civic engagement."  TC  UVic News
