Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a time to celebrate and encourage activities that support charities and non-profits. UVic is taking part in Giving Tuesday for the second time this year; sharing the spirit of philanthropy with all members of our campus community.

On Tuesday, November 28, sprinkles are returning to campus. There will be hot chocolate, whipped cream and sprinkles. There will be a sprinkle trike, cookies, and zorbing. And there will be a giant snow globe full of sprinkles.

  • 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Hot chocolate, courtesy of the UVSS, whipped cream and sprinkles (outside library)
  • 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Zorbing (outside library)
  • 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m. - Cookies, courtesy of UVic Food Services (outside library)
  • 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Giant snow globe (location TBC)

Donations by One Card, cash or online (yes, you can give on your mobile phone!) are encouraged for all activities.

This day is all about participation – everyone can add sprinkles, and those sprinkles are what make UVic extraordinary. Make a donation online, or with your One Card at Mystic Market, Biblio, Mac's, the Bookstore, Finnerty's, the SUB or at the Giving Tuesday booths by the Petch fountain and in the University Centre. Or drop a toonie in the donation boxes around campus.
